Preparation
Clarify your goals and intention, discuss expectations and concerns, plan your setting, review grounding tools, and prepare psychologically for the experience.

Guided Prana provides the psychotherapy portion of KAP for eligible adults in Texas—preparation, supported dosing sessions, and integration—with an emphasis on intention, autonomy, safety, and lasting change.

Psychotherapy support during the ketamine experience, with space for inward attention, emotional processing, safety, and whatever unfolds without forcing an agenda.
Return to the experience while it is still fresh, identify meaningful themes, connect insight to daily life, and translate awareness into practical change.
KAP is not a single event. Therapy can continue between sessions so new perspectives are supported by real-world choices, relationships, habits, and boundaries.
The environment matters. During preparation, we consider the sensory and practical details that can support comfort, privacy, safety, and a more cohesive KAP experience.
Guided Prana is developing a curated KAP setup guide so clients can easily find useful items without piecing the experience together from scratch.
Soft lighting, warm lamps, galaxy or ambient projectors, candles or flameless options, and a visually calming room.
Comfortable headphones, curated music and playlists, eye masks, and optional immersive tools when clinically appropriate.
Blankets, pillows, supportive seating or a place to recline, temperature control, and clothing that feels easy and nonrestrictive.
A reliable blood-pressure cuff and any other monitoring or safety items required by the prescribing medical provider.
Water, a simple snack for afterward, meaningful objects, aromatherapy when appropriate, and tactile items that help the space feel familiar.
A journal, art materials, voice notes, or other ways to capture impressions and revisit what emerged after the session.
I provide the psychotherapy portion of KAP. The prescribing medical provider independently determines medical eligibility, prescribes ketamine when appropriate, and manages the medical aspects of treatment.
At this time, Guided Prana works with Journey Clinical for medical evaluation and prescribing. Medical and psychotherapy fees are separate.
Individual KAP experiences vary.
A client living with longstanding depression experienced meaningful relief through KAP, along with a renewed sense of hope and improvement in overall quality of life.
One client came to KAP after feeling deeply stuck in traditional therapy. Their KAP work opened new perspectives and supported breakthroughs in self-awareness and emotional healing.
After years of significant anxiety, one client reported meaningful relief following KAP, along with greater confidence and a different relationship with their anxiety.
Individual experiences vary. These examples do not guarantee a particular result or outcome from KAP.
I accept HSA cards, and I'm an out-of-network provider, which means your insurance may reimburse some costs if you file a claim yourself. I am happy to provide a superbill.
Journey Clinical medical evaluation, medication, and medical follow-up fees are separate from Guided Prana psychotherapy fees.
An Initial Intake is the first step. We can discuss your history, goals, previous treatment, readiness, and whether KAP appears clinically worth exploring. Medical eligibility is determined separately by the prescribing medical provider.
With Journey Clinical, eligible clients currently use prescribed sublingual ketamine lozenges. The medical team provides medication instructions and medical safety requirements.
Yes, when clinically and medically appropriate. Remote sessions require an approved setting, adherence to the medical provider's safety requirements, and a responsible adult chaperone when required.
Preparation is part of the psychotherapy process. It gives us time to establish intention, expectations, practical plans, grounding resources, and a setting that supports the experience rather than leaving those decisions until dosing day.
An altered-state experience may feel meaningful in the moment, but insight does not automatically become change. Integration helps you make sense of what emerged and connect it to your relationships, choices, habits, boundaries, and ongoing therapy.
Coverage varies. Guided Prana is an out-of-network provider and can provide a superbill for eligible psychotherapy services. Ketamine medical evaluation and medication fees are handled separately by the medical provider.
You do not need to decide on KAP before we meet. The intake gives us space to understand what you are experiencing, what you hope to change, and whether this approach makes sense for you.
